How We Work

Open for Business

3SF was formed to help businesses just like yours find or fine tune their voice and open a meaningful dialog with their customers. To do this we've developed a five-step process that we've dubbed the Three Star Branding Process. Simply put, the Three Star Branding Process is our method of planning and creating effective advertising and communications campaigns—both online and off. Here's how it works:

1) Information gathering/Needs assessment

3SF principals will meet with your key executives. You will have the opportunity to provide us with detailed data describing your existing marketing program in the four areas of Goals, Products (or Service), Operations, and Statistics.

While the emphasis will be on hard data, we will also make room for soft data, such anecdotes, letters from customers, or your own opinions and impressions. Remember, the better the info you give us is, the better our recommendations can be. >>

Research/Consumer anthropological studies

Consumer anthropology

Traditional research methodologies, such as exit interviews and surveys, often don't deliver the intelligence needed to formulate an effective advertising strategy. We may therefore recommend a round of research using such consumer anthropological techniques as in-store observing, video and audio monitoring, and ride-alongs with your sales people. This empirical data is invaluable in finding your customers' key touch points—those places, times and communications channels that will be most likely to yield a desirable response to your sales messages.

3) Creative development

3SF will develop the creative materials. These are the big creative ideas and concepts that give the campaign its voice—its personality—and will be implemented along the defined media channels. Although we will likely present several alternatives for you to choose from, we typically recommend one concept that we believe is best.

4) Production

After client approval of creative recommendations, we go into production. At this point we record the radio spots, shoot the TV commercials, create the print and/or interactive ad campaigns and websites, prepare press releases, contract with event companies, etc. to make your integrated ad campaign happen.

5) Measurement and evaluation

Using agreed upon guidelines for measuring the advertising, we will prepare a written report of the results. Our goal is to achieve ROI for our clients and we feel it's important to measure results and seek out ways to improve. Contact us soon for an evaluation of your marketing situation.
